Dr.
Vitaly Klyachko will join Washington University as Assistant
Professor of Cell Biology and Physiology in the School of Medicine
and Assistant Professor of Biomedical Engineering in the School of
Engineering and Applied Sciences on October 1, 2008.
Vitaly's research is focused on synaptic function and plasticity with the goal to understand how neural circuits analyze information in the brain. His work has important implications to neurological disorders such as mental retardation and Alzheimer's disease. Vitaly will join and complement Colin Nichols and Jeanne Nerbonne as part of Center for the Investigation of Membrane Excitability Disease (CIMED), one of the Centers in Washington University's BioMed 21 initiative. His laboratory will be in 3600 Cancer Research Building. Please join us in welcoming Dr. Klyachko to Washington University. |
